Overview:
Education remains a cornerstone of Segilola Resources Operating Limited’s (SROL) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Community Development Agreement (CDA) commitments. In alignment with its mission to invest in younger generations and improve access to quality education, SROL undertook the comprehensive renovation of the Iperindo Community Secondary School.

The project delivered a complete facelift to the school’s infrastructure, addressing long-standing needs and enhancing the overall learning environment for students. During the commissioning, the students’ excitement reflected just how much this transformation meant to them and the broader community.

As part of the renovation, SROL:

• Renovated three (3) school blocks,
• Constructed standard toilet systems,
• Installed a borehole system to improve access to clean water, and
• Provided classroom furniture to support effective learning.

In addition to this project, SROL continues to support education in its host communities through its annual scholarship programme for bright students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The company also plans to equip the school’s science laboratory with modern tools and accessories in the coming year.

Project Impact:
The renovation has created a more conducive, dignified, and motivating learning environment for students and teachers. By improving infrastructure and expanding educational support initiatives, SROL continues to empower students, strengthen community development, and contribute to long-term human capacity growth within its host communities.
