Overview:
The Ifesowapo Fish Farm is a flagship Livelihood Restoration Program (LRP) established by Segilola Resources Operating Limited (SROL) to provide sustainable income opportunities for Project Affected Persons (PAPs). The initiative was developed following a needs assessment conducted in 2021 and includes extensive technical, financial, and cooperative support for beneficiaries.

The PAPs were organized into the Ifesowapo Cooperative, which was officially registered with the Osun State Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperative. SROL will continue to provide technical and supervisory support for two years to ensure stability and long-term success.

Under the program, SROL provided:

• 100 fishponds
• Water supply system
• Fish feed for 8 months
• 700 juvenile fish per PAP
• Allowances for 45 PAPs for 8 months
• Training in fish farming, cooperative management, and agricultural business
• Formation of the Ifesowapo Cooperative.
